As you’d expect, host Malin Akerman set the trend, in a striking mini complete with blue, white and red geometric shapes, which made the most of her endless legs. However, she was not the only one to stand out in the style stakes. Hot on her heels were the hot young Hollywood actresses from ABC drama series Revenge, Ashley Madekwe and Christa B. Allen. British actress Ashley looking stunning in a loose-fitting teal blue mini dress teamed with grey swede sandals and a splash of red lips and Christa sported a red silk top over sexy black leather trousers and ankle boots.

Of course, it wasn’t a night all about the beautiful women in the room.

Desperate Housewives actor Jesse Metcalfe set hearts racing in a blue fitted Lacoste T-shirt, which gave us a flash of his tattoos and enviable physique. Add in classic rust chinos and stylish brown shoes, and he certainly looked the part. Football star Michael Strahan also stood out from the star-studded crowd, looking good in a classic grey striped Lacoste T-shirt.

With great style spotting opportunities and entertainment by

DJ Harley Viera-Newton, this launch proved that you don’t need to work up a sweat to enjoy – and look the part in – pieces from a sporting fashion brand.

The Hawn Foundation UK Launch Event @ Annabel’s London

Goldie Hawn may have already stolen our hearts as the queen of comedy, but it was at the UK launch of The Hawn Foundation on 7 March that she gave us a glimpse of the woman behind that winning smile. Having set up the foundation (www.thehawnfoundation.org) to help children lead confident, happy and successful lives – by giving them opportunities to acquire social and emotional skills and improve academic performance – this launch event was the perfect occasion for Goldie to introduce her wonderful charity to a star-studded audience.

Goldie, as ever, looked stunning in an Armani classic strapless cocktail dress, which she accessorised with a stand-out piece from Italian jewellery company Damiani. On hand to offer their support were daughter Kate Hudson and fiancé Matt Bellamy. Kate looked effortlessly stylish in a loose-fitting long-sleeved satin dress and Aruna Seth heels – not to mention minimal make-up – and partner Matt very cool in a blue velvet suit. Michelle Mone and Ruby Wax also looked the part – Michelle in an elegant one-shoulder full-length black and beige dress and Ruby in a tux-style suit worn with a red patterned blouse.

Such is Goldie’s commitment to The Hawn Foundation, she gave away a lunch date with her and daughter Kate as one of the lots at the event’s live auction. In fact, the bidding became so competitive, she ended up donating two in the end – one of which Damiani’s Miss Mira Anafira was lucky enough to secure.

With great company, huge sums raised for the foundation, music by Duffy and a spot of dancing, the memory of this launch event – and the cause behind it – is one that will not easily fade.
